What time are services?

Our worship service time is10:30am each Sunday morning.

What is a Sunday Service Like?
A typical Sunday service includes contemporary style worship, singing, special music or drama, prayer, offering, & a relevant message. When you visit we hope you will meet some of the people and enjoy worshipping with us. Please fill out a “Connect Card" that is included in each worship bulletin, and pick up a free gift for first time guests at the Welcome Center in the lobby. We look forward to seeing you!

Do you have anything for middle and high school kids?
Absolutely! We have an energetic team that provides leadership each Sunday morning during our 9:00am Sunday School in our youth rooms. Learn more here.

Are there groups for adults?
​
Yes, there are several adult small groups that meet during our 9:00am Sunday School, as well as various evenings through the week. There is also a young adult group for recent college graduates and those up to age 30ish. Learn more here.

Lead Pastor
Dave & Julie Miller
Pastor Dave has been in full-time pastoral ministry since 1997. He has served in various roles in five BIC churches in PA and NY. He came to New Joy in November of 2011 as the Associate Pastor and was installed as Lead Pastor in January of 2024. Dave gives pastoral oversight to small groups, care team, drama team, worship and A/V ministry. He heads the preaching ministry and provides administrative oversight to other areas of the church. He is passionate about seeing men become the spiritual leader of their home and couples strengthening their marriages. Dave enjoys writing and directing plays, coaching, cheering on the Baltimore Orioles, spending time with his family, and watching movies.
Dave and his wife Julie have been married since 1996. Julie is actively involved in worship team, small groups, children’s, and women’s ministries. The Millers live in Columbia, PA and have five children (one son and four daughters), two cats & two bunnies.
In 2020, the Miller's welcomed Kristin (Josiah's wife) and in 2023 they welcomed Josiah (Hannah's husband) into the family.

Associate Pastor
Jason & Margaret Dietrich
Pastor Jason has been a part of New Joy since stepping into the Family Pastor role in January of 2017. He began serving as Associate Pastor in January of 2024. Jason continues to spearhead our ministries to kids from birth to graduating high school, as well as families in general. One of his passions is discipleship, especially when it comes to young people.
He and his wife, Margaret, tied the knot in the fall of 2012. They have three beautiful, young daughters Emery, Gwen, and Alyson. Their son, Desmond, was tragically stillborn in November of 2021. Their journey through grief has been immensely painful, while also a testimony to the unchanging goodness and faithfulness of God. They’re a tight family that longs for deep and meaningful relationships both in, and out of, the church.
For fun, they enjoy going on walks, bike rides, and visiting different parks as a family. Jason also enjoys video games, while Margaret loves to spend her free time making pottery. Their family continues to be part of the Ephrata community, along with their dogs, Sadie and Duchess.
